Exciting!
Thursday, 29 September 2011

What an exciting campaign this has been.

Every part of the riding has active supportive Greens.  People WANT to hear about the environment, WANT to see a focus on sustainable living and WANT to hear how to take care of our communities.  Thanks team for helping us get the message out!

On the way to Napanee I stopped by Lake FM for an interview : http://lake88.ca/lake88/media/110927.mp3

Now we have only a few days left.  Many of you have been incredible with your financial, emotional and time support.  You have made a difference on whether our message is heard or not.  Now, if you have time and energy available to give either calling or door to door canvassing please email me directly with your availability at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Keep up spreading the great news of the 5-point plan.  It's Time.

A New Week on the Campaign Trail
Tuesday, 27 September 2011

A new week on the Campaign Trail and IT'S TIME to get those closet Greens to stand up!

I met a supporter of the Greens at the Parish Feast today.  What a great way to start the week to hand another lawn sign to a strong Green Supporter.

Our Carleton Place All Candidates meeting should be aired on Rogers Cable on October 4th, 2011.

This week we have the Limestone Meeting on Education on the 26th, Napanee on the 27th, Peoples First in Carleton Place on the 28th.  Unfortunately I cannot make the debate on the 29th due to a personal obligation.  If you can attend any of these meetings please come and say hello at the Green table. Those who are interested in doing door to door canvassing please speak up!  The last week has time for canvassing and I need partners!

See you on the Trail!

Lauder Smith is busily scheduling my agenda trying to balance the new school year, after school activities, debates and a candidate who wants to do it all!  I am off to the Ottawa Citizen tomorrow for the Editorial Board and have various activities talking to the media in the upcoming weeks.

Please take a moment and follow me on Twitter @nancy_matte and join me on Facebook at : http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nancy-Matte/131008926992284

We will also try to keep the dates up on the www.lflagreenson.ca site.

For those who wish to support the Greens at the debates we want YOU there at the following dates :

September 19th - Sharbot Lake High School Mock Debates
Verona All Candidate Meeting

September 21st - All Candidates Debate Carleton Place

September 23rd - Kaladar All Candidates Debate

September 26th - Limestone Meeting on Education

September 27th - All Candidates Meeting Napanee

These dates are always changing and I do have a few more tentative dates, including farm tours, community group meetings, and canvassing plans.

I wish I could visit everyone in the riding and every business but even without sleep this isn’t possible.  Therefore, if you know someone who wants to meet, or a business that would want a visit please let me know.

It’s TIME to share the Green Vision!

LFLA has nominated their candidate for the 2011 Election
Sunday, 21 August 2011

Nancy Matte - LFLA Candidate
Nancy Matte - LFLA Candidate
On July 25th, Nancy Matte was voted unanimously as the LFLA Candidate for the next Provincial election.

Nancy Matte has lived in Beckwith since 2008. She is an active volunteer in her community and a mother of three. For the past 10 years, on top of being a stay-at-home mother she has administered a computer consulting business. She attended the University of Ottawa where she earned her Bachelor’s in Social Sciences with concentrations in Sociology, Public Policy and Public Administration in 1993.

Motivated by her desire to improve the future her children Nancy decided to enter politics. She recognizes that the decisions we make today will affect us for generations. She is passionate about bringing a new approach to governing: one that works looks generations ahead in fiscal, environmental and social planning.

As the candidate for LFLA, Nancy would advocate local healthy food, fiscally responsible government as well as open, transparent and accountable government.

An excellent team has come forward to assist Nancy with the campaign but many more volunteers are encouraged to join in to increase our visibility and get the Green Message out to our community.

Lauder Smith is the campaign manager responsible for scheduling. He can be reached by phone at (613) 336-2998 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
